Stone Hunter Studio has been my life’s work for the past forty years. I look back with pride on my accomplishments, large and small. Natural stone fireplaces, feature walls and patios, hard landscapes, reclaimed wood furniture and heavy timber work are in several towns and resorts on the B.C. coast.
Back in the early nineties I was chosen to build a public art project designed by one of Vancouver’s premiere artists. The project is called “Ancient Streams” a large watercourse over stones and boulders of granite and bronze.
My current focus is on smaller projects using the same preferred materials. I am doing stone mosaics and other portable art pieces designed and assembled with gathered stones, reclaimed wood and metal and sometimes architectural artifacts. These unique pieces are great for home, office or your studio and are reasonably easy to install. Many have been sold to local clients and a few went to California.
I am also building floating shelves of reclaimed wood and stone. I will be creating a variety of small projects and making them available on here. Please contact me if you see something you like or if you are interested in co-designing a project.
